The new buildings naturally complement the urbanistic ensemble and in this respect replace the dropped pavilions 2 & 3. The building edges that adjoin to the closed by frontage will be incorporated in the new design. The southward sloped site becomes apparent via its staggered building heights. The simple comb-shaped building structure is legible through sightlines from the in- and outside and therefore makes it easy for inhabitants and visitors to orientate themselves in and around the building. Loggias vary in depth but still keep their leading edge and hence create a subtle vibrancy. Views, niches and overhanging building units create interesting and versatile spaces which can ideally be adapted for different requirements. Wards and assisted living are developed by a central area as well as the kindergarten and administrative spaces. By keeping track of economic aspects a modern, generous, light and friendly new development emerges.
