Music and dance have a long tradition in Austrian history. A Viennese waltz in an environment comparable to that of the Viennese Opera Ball – can be experienced as a highlight and welcome change for the audience of the Expo. The pavilion is reminiscent of a ball dress, which turns to the waltz music of the dance floor and reveals views into the interior through the shimmering, transparent outer skin. The pavilion is accessible at four of these points. Inside is the central stage, where a ramp transition runs along a 360° projection screen. The ramp accommodates additional exhibition space and provides different spatial impressions and vistas. The outer skin is illuminated inside with additional image effects. North of the space stage is the cafe and a shop on the ground floor, VIP area, engineering, warehousing, offices, staff rooms and a public terrace on the upper floors.
